50 pages; Very Good Plus/Very Good. A Delightful little book. Light shelfwear at spine tips. Outside page edges lightly age tanned. Boards are straight and tips are pointed. DJ is tanned at edges and spine. Tee-niny chip at spine tips. Enhanced with new protective sleeve. Grace Noll Crowell was born in Iowa in 1877, and spent her childhood in a plain, simple farmhouse set down in apple and plum orchards. Her first published poem The Marshland was printing in 1907 in Outing Magazine. Since then her poems has been printed in nearly every magazine of importance in this country and England. The first collection of her verse, White Fire, was published in 1925, receiving the first prize of the Poetry Society of Texas. She was appointed Poet Laureate of Texas by the State Senate in 1935.
