Boards are straight, tips are pointed, spine is square and pages are otherwise clean. Wishing to bring authors and students together the University, in 1956 started a series of lectures in which outstanding writers were sought out and invited to lecture at the University. The autors were generous in giving copyright permission for their manuscripts and, as a result, this volume springs forth full-born, although somewhat slight in size. Among the authors are William Saroyan, Mortimer Adler, Christopher Herold, Robert Nathan, Frederick Shroyer, Harold Giliam, Leon Uris, Leonard Wibberly.
