279 pages; Very Good/No Jacket. Gray and red boards with gilt lettering. Outside page edges age tanned. Tiny name and date to inside cover. Very light shelf rub. Strong binding and hinges. Boards are straight, tips are pointed, spine is square and pages are clean. Benjamin Franklin was so entirely human, which means so many sided, that the best one can do is to observe him piecemeal. He himself would have smiled broadly at such a suggestion. His letters show a great capacity for friendship.
