545 pages; Very Good Plus/No Jacket. Text is Chinese on one page and English on the facing page. Solid hinges and binding. Green cloth boards with bright gilt lettering in English and Chinese. Spine is sun faded - but gilt lettering is still bright and readable. Outside page edges are lightly age tanned. Boards are straight, tips are pointed, and pages are clean. Buddhism was first introduced into China in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It has incessantly flourished; and, in fact, it was instrumental in elevating the Chinese culture to a new resplendence.
