259 pages; Very Good/No Jacket. Blue cloth boards with silver lettering. Spine and edges of boards are faded. Tiny name/date (1931) to inside front board. Outside page edges are age tanned and foxed. Boards are straight, tips are pointed, spine is square and pages are clean. Beautiful photos. Walford Hyden was associated with Madame Anna Pavlova in 1910. He was her rehersal pianist and often Musical Director and accompanied her on several English, Continental, and world tours; except when he was in the Army during the War period. This book is not an attempt at a formal biography. It is a book of impressions and recollections set down while they are still warm in my memory.
