Light foxing top outside page edges. Boards are straight, tips are pointed, spine is square and pages are clean. Solid, tight binding and hinges. The life of Sir Francis Bacon - born of parents who were prominent in the affairs of Sixteenth Century England. His father, Sir Nicholas Bacon, was Lord Keeper of the Seal of England for the first twenty years of Queen Elizabeth's reign.
